We’ve had the opportunity to do a couple shows at the Carson City Community Center recently. Cab Calloway’s grandson came and performed some jazz standards and some of the great hits from Cab’s band. He and guest singer Jakkie Ford sang and danced in front of a 12 piece band (8 horns and a rhythm section). KD Sound supplemented the installed sound system with additional gear for the nearly sold out crowd.
In February, we did sound and recording for the Carson City Symphony. Their program included Ballet Folklórico International , a Latin dance group out of Reno. Also performing an oboe solo was Stephen Caplan. KD Sound even helped transport gear for the symphony.
Additionally, we’ve done sound for two Mile High Jazz Band shows at Living the Good Life this year. Their next performance will be the Jazz Extravaganza, a fund raiser for the jazz program in the local schools. We’ll be back to the community center March 3rd for that show.
Beyond that, April 24-26 we’ll be at the Heritage Days celebration in Genoa NV, and coming back for another Carson City Symphony concert April 26th.
Hope to see you around!
